Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Account: email address, password (encrypted)
• Service use: uploaded audio files, analysis results
• Payments: payment method info (processed by a third-party provider; we do not store it)
• Automatic: IP address, browser info, usage logs

2. How We Use It

• Account creation and authentication
• Providing the audio analysis service
• Processing subscription payments
• Responding to support requests
• Aggregate analytics to improve the service

3. Retention

• Account data: until account deletion
• Audio files: deleted within 30 days of processing
• Payment records: 5 years per applicable law

4. Third-Party Processors

We share your data with the following third-party processors (all US-based). The specific data sent to each is listed below:

• AssemblyAI, Inc. — receives your uploaded audio file for speech-to-text transcription.
• Anthropic, PBC (Claude AI) — receives the transcribed text for AI analysis.
• Amazon Web Services — cloud file storage and infrastructure.
• Payment providers (Toss Payments, Apple, Google) — subscription payment processing (we do not store payment method details).

Each processor provides data protection equal to ours and processes data only as needed for the stated purpose. Data sent to these services is never used to train AI models (see Section 6). For other questions, contact contact@debrief.my.

5. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to the following countries for service operation:

• Destination: United States
• Data transferred: audio files, text data for analysis
• Purpose: speech-to-text processing, AI analysis, cloud infrastructure
• Safeguards: TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, immediate deletion after processing

For users in Korea, transfers comply with PIPA Article 28-8. For users in Japan, transfers comply with APPI Article 28. For users in the EU, transfers are conducted under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

6. No AI Training

Your uploaded audio files and analysis results are never used for AI model training or learning. Data is processed solely for the purpose of providing the analysis service.

7. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@debrief.my. We will respond within 10 business days.
